Nashville UMC dinner crew!
How long do we have to sit in the van?
Our IMPACTful hosts for lunch!
Our first break at St. Isidore's
Here's the crew- we won't look this good again for awhile!
The first day, of course, is usually the hardest. Where did the wind out of the s.e. come from? And who knew there where so many hills in Clarksville?
We did 59.5 miles today! We had one detour that added a couple, a blown tire changed by the side of the road, and everyone made it! We were blessed to use the bathrooms at St. Isidores in Parnell, had a great lunch with the youth group at Impact Church in Lowell (you guys were awesome encouragement on our first leg of the journey) and were blessed with the fellowship and food at Nashville UMC. After dinner Nashville also presented us with money given during a collection for HIS HOME- so dinner, breakfast, rest and gifts- God sure puts wonderful people in our paths!
Everyone had to dig deep and work hard on the last stretch today- some went to bed right after dinner. The rest of us sat up and had a chance to talk about the days devotional- about life as a disciple being "gloriously difficult" and how we must "practice" (check out the link to follow along with us)
